Who is the mind behind Fourth & Alpine?

Creative and data-driven. Leader and doer. Compassionate and powerful.

I’m Hannah Jaeger, and I’ve spent the last 12 years leading and growing a branding/marketing team in the professional services industry, taking it from a small team lacking innovation or brand focus and building it into a forward-thinking, tech-enabled team of nine. Our marketing strategies were a critical asset in the company’s growth, which tripled in size and revenue during my tenure.

I am passionate about branding, design, enablement, and storytelling. I believe that a combination of empathy, thought leadership, and impeccable design is the most impactful way to build trust and win over your audience. I can think and act high-level and lead a team, but am equally fulfilled when I’m rolling up my sleeves and designing or digging through data.

When I’m not wearing my marketing hat, you can find me spending time with my husband and children or hiking a big mountain somewhere. And enjoying a good laugh or a good cocktail.

What’s it like to work together?

  • When I work for you, I care so deeply about my work and its impact. I’m responsible for all your marketing outcomes, and I will always follow through, execute, and get s**t done.

  • One thing is clear from every personality assessment I’ve ever done: I’m a fact-finder. If there is something I don’t know or a problem that’s not easily solved, I’ll work hard to figure it out.

  • Emotional intelligence is innate and is so critical when it comes to human-focused brand messaging that connects to your audience. Aside from its place in your marketing strategy, it’s also something that allows me to successfully build, mentor, and empower teams.

  • Anyone that has worked with me will tell you that no stone goes unturned. Detail is everything, from your aesthetic to your buyer experience to how you communicate with your audience.

  • You might not find many CMOs that are also designers, but alas, here we are. I love creating interesting and impeccable design for clients (and myself!)

What’s in a name?

I have this thing with alpine lakes. They're a majestic sight to see, but can be so challenging to reach. The most thoughtfully planned hike to an alpine lake can turn into a puzzle, with obstacles and weather elements impeding the path you had planned. It takes grit, endurance, and confidence to get “above the alpine” but the reward of seeing a turquoise lake nestled between mountain peaks is always worth it.

Though I’ve only been hiking for a handful of years, I’ve reached three alpine lakes. However, there’s a fourth attempt that has always haunted me. Delta Lake (elev: 9,016') in Grand Teton National Park. I’d been thinking about this hike for months, with carefully laid plans, a can of bear spray, and what we thought were the essentials. Miles into the hike, my husband and I were sharing one set of hiking poles and found ourselves alone on the edge of a mountain, in the midst of a rock scramble, in hip-deep snow and no cell service.

We were so close to reaching the lake, but ultimately had to turn around due to the conditions. It was the first time I ever had to quit while so close to reaching a goal I had so carefully planned. I think about that trip a lot - the lake we never got to, the effort we put into it, and the lesson that things often don’t go as planned. So here I am, having left a tenured executive role that I put my heart and soul into, ready to take on my next challenge with grit, confidence, and hustle. I know I'll get above the alpine many more times, but in the meantime, launching this next step is both the fourth chapter in my career, as well as that fourth peak I never got to.

Let’s grow your company, together.
